Changing the USB or local disk icon using NOTEPAD

HOW TO CHANGE THE REMOVABLE DISK OR LOCAL DISK ICON USING "NOTEPAD"

STEP :1 Select the icon you want to keep as an icon for the removable disk

STEP :2 If you want to keep the image (.jpeg) as an icon for the removable disk

STEP :3 Then select the image you want to keep as an icon for the removable disk

STEP :4 Then upload the file/image to the www.iconconvertor.com website and convert the image to icon

STEP :5 Then open the note pad and then type the following .....

STEP :6 

[Autorun]

Icon=<path with the .ico extension>

STEP :7 note: the icon must be in removable disk only

Save the notepad in the removable disk with the name "autorun.inf"

STEP :8 Now eject and re-insert the disk

Note: if you want to change the icon for the "local disk" then restart the computer

STEP :9 NOW THE REMOVABLE DISK OR LOCAL DISK ICON WILL BE CHANGED 😉
